Who We Are
Kimberlina Kavern
founder, co-owner
Kim comes to Full Circle Wellness with a background in victim services, yoga, and wellness. Born and raised on the Central Coast of California, Kim spent time teaching music after college before moving to New York to pursue a career working in social justice. Kim is currently a Senior Director with Safe Horizon’s Crime Victim Assistance Program, and has spent the past 16 years working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crime. She facilitates a variety of training in her role, and has trained across the country on a variety of topics, including self-care and the impacts on workers who serve victims of trauma. Kim completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification with Yoga Vida in 2012. She is also a marathon runner, a certified Rape Survivor Advocate, and a certified mediator.. She is passionate about whole-body wellness, and co-founded Full Circle Wellness with the intention of making individualized, holistic wellness accessible to everyone. Kim lives in Maplewood, NJ with her husband and her two beautiful daughters.
Carmen Fleming
founder, co-owner
Carmen comes to Full Circle Wellness with a background in refugee resettlement, victims services and community development. Carmen has worked with vulnerable populations in both the United States and abroad, including as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama and working in refugee resettlement in Chicago and Sub Saharan Africa. Carmen spent four years working with victims of crime and survivors of family and sexual violence with Safe Horizon’s Crime Victim Assistance Program in New York City until returning to the field of refugee resettlement. Carmen currently works as the Economic Opportunity Program Specialist for CWS, one of ten national Resettlement Agencies resettlement and supporting newly arrived refugees and other newcomers. She is passionate about everyone accessing what they need to be healthy and happy and co-founded Full Circle Wellness with the intention of helping people get what they need. Carmen currently lives in Weehawken, NJ.
